GSP retains the Welterweight UFC title last night in Las Vegas amid a storm of controversy. Many were left stunned last night after the split decision was announced in front of a sold out arena at MGM. An upset Dana White blasted the Nevada State Athletic Commission on what he thought was a bad decision and insisted that GSP grant Hendricks a rematch despite a post fight announcement from GSP that he would be stepping away from MMA for a while. The controversy took to Twitter and other social media. Some certainly think that GSP did enough to retain the title, but others are claiming the fight was one of the worst decisions the UFC has ever seen. Undoubtedly, the MMA world will be discussing this one for a long time to come.
