About Rolljunkie Kimonos

Since 2012, Rolljunkie has been making premium BJJ Gis for adults and children.  We are constantly releasing new batches and offer a variety of styles and sizes for every body type from large to lanky.

Our jiu jitsu gis, also known as kimonos, are made from lightweight 450 gsm pre-shrunk cotton. The end result is a highly durable yet light uniform that is perfect for training and competition.

We design our jiu jitsu gis to meet IBJJF regulations, but we still highly recommend that you check their guidelines prior to competing to ensure your specific kimono is in compliance as IBJJF uniform guidelines are subject to change.

Rolljunkie kimonos include the jacket, pants, and kimono bag.  A BJJ belt is not included.

Jiu Jitsu Gi Features

Our kimonos feature multiple belt loops, an easy to tie stretch drawstring, reinforced stitching, contrast stitching, and a mix of embroidery, patches, and woven labels.  In addition, a kimono bag is included with every purchase.

Choosing a Jiu Jitsu Kimono Size

Every body type is different, however, when it comes to choosing the best gi size for your build, we recommend using the chart below as a guideline. Kimonos should not feel excessively loose or tight and there should be enough fabric around the wrist and ankle openings that an opponent can get a decent grip. That said, you should not feel like you are swimming in fabric when you wear your kimono either.

If you are competing with the gi, it is important that you check with the competition organization to ensure your uniform is compliant with the requirements for that event.
