Let's face it, 2020 has been an unprecedented year and we have all been forced to adapt to a changing environment. The global pandemic has impacted business across the globe and Rolljunkie has not been immune. All of that said, we have continued to do what we do, releasing new products and bringing our customers unique and quality BJJ gear they have come to know from our brand. Despite a challenging 2020, when all is said and done, we will have dropped what we consider to be our best BJJ gi releases in a 12 month period since we started back in 2012.
Before we get into the BJJ gi releases of 2020, let's take a quick look at how we closed out 2019.
The Shadow BJJ kimono shipped a couple of days before Christmas 2019. This black and gray kimono was created to compliment our matching Shadow no-gi set. The dark styling creates an awesome no-nonsense look and like all our kimonos, the Shadow shipped with a drawstring kimono bag. Clean. Classic. Dark.
Momentum II Gi
In Spring of 2020 we released the Momentum II kimono, a slightly new take on one of our classic releases. The original Momentum kimono was so popular we decided to bring it back with some minor tweaks to the trim and styling. This blue kimono will add a little more color to any BJJ gi rotation and was our first official gi release of the 2020 calendar year.
Prevail kimono dropped in late October and is a limited release white kimono. We designed the trim with Carolina blue and gray touches for a subtle clean design that looks great. Also, for the first time on a kimono release, we went with double BJJ monkey shoulder embroideries.
Due out at the end of 2020, this is a Navy blue kimono with orange and white trim. It's a bit more bold than some of our other kimonos, but has the same great durability and clean styling you have come to know from our jiu jitsu brand. BJJ fanatics are sure to love the detailed woven patches and double monkey shoulder embroideries.
